Walters Cove Lodge is
located in the picturesque and remote village of
Kyuquot, on Vancouver Island, B.C.
As there is no direct road link to the village, the
remote charm of years gone by is still in tact. The
waterways of the area provide the road system, a well
maintained trail provides access to the closest
neighbors and general store, as well as a wonderful
"rain forest" walk to the open ocean.

In this part of the world, the nurse or school teacher is
judged not by their respective medical or academic abilities
but rather their expertise in "running a boat".
Kyuquot is located in the Brooks Peninsula area
approximately 228 miles north and west of Victoria British
Columbia, or approximately 100 miles west from Tofino on
Vancouver Island's wild west coast.
The Brooks Peninsula is truly Canada's Last wilderness
Frontier. Unaffected by the last ice age, Brooks Peninsula
is considered a unique geological feature. Unparalleled
opportunities exist for the viewing of an ecosystem like no
other.
This "Galapagos" of the North West is the
wilderness home to countless varieties of waterfowl, marine
mammals, and animals, flora and fauna and sea life beyond
the imagination. The wild ocean coastline, long sheltered
inlets, rugged mountains, pristine estuaries and old growth
forests combined with a prolific fishery can only be
described as Paradise.
